STATIC AND SURFACE PROTECTION

Bare components and some accessories need anti-static handling. Finished devices still need separation from abrasive surfaces, exposed connectors and loose accessories. Sleeves, dividers and trays should prevent contact during vibration.

CUSHIONING IS A SYSTEM

Cushioning must match product weight and carton geometry. Empty space lets items accelerate inside a carton; excessive compression can transfer load into screens or housings. Corners and voids deserve deliberate treatment.

MOISTURE AND TEMPERATURE

Long routes can expose cartons to humidity and temperature change. Moisture barriers, desiccant and sealed inner packaging may be appropriate, but requirements vary by product and route.

BATTERIES

Lithium batteries can trigger carrier restrictions, documentation and packaging requirements. Product configuration, battery rating, whether batteries are contained in equipment and the chosen mode of transport all matter. Carrier instructions and applicable dangerous-goods rules take priority.

TAMPER AND TRACEABILITY

Tamper-evident seals can support chain-of-custody records when seal identifiers are linked to carton numbers. Labels should be readable, durable and reconciled with a packing list that identifies the batch.

PALLET AND CARTON PLAN

The final plan should record carton count, dimensions, gross and net weight, stack limitations and pallet arrangement. These details support freight quotations and reduce last-minute changes at handoff.
